RYAEI PRACTICING CHRISTIANITY FAITH

This program works with refugees and immigrant youth to teach them more about the Christianity faith. This program helps immigrant and refugee youth to connect with the holy spirit and gives them the opportunity to grow their faith.

Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

WAYS THAT HELP US TO PRACTICE OUR DAILY CHRISTIANITY FAITH

RYAEI GROUP  MEDITATION ON THE SUNDAY SERMON

On Sunday, our pastor taught us about Love and faith, life and death, our sin and salvation, hope and assurance, grace and peace, mercy and wrath, and obedience and suffering. We hear that God has justified us by faith in Jesus Christ. It is easy to forget these words of life. Monday begins, and we can start to act as if what we heard on Sunday is no longer true. RYAEI group meditation on the Sunday sermon helps to ground our identity and actions in the whole story of God’s salvation—from the beginning of the week to the very end.

WE ENCOURAGE OUR PARENTS TO PRACTICE FAMILY DEVOTION

As we all know that our parents have a big impact on our lives. we encourage parents to continue teaching children the word of God even when their home.

                                                                               Ephesians 6:1-4

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

2 Honor thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

DAILY BIBLE READING

Reading the Bible every day helps us to know who is God. Some Christians today believe they know God when they can't even create a few minutes to read the Bible daily. The only way to know God is by reading the Bible and meditating on the world of God. It's good when you practice Bible reading in small groups because you can have a chance to ask questions that you don't understand.

Proverbs 9:1

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

DAILY PRAYER AND FASTING

1. Praying to God helps us to Grow closer to God

                                                                     Psalm 145:18-19

18. The Lord is near to all who call on him,

to all who call on him in truth.

19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;

he hears their cry and saves them.

If I can sum up the importance of prayer into one big reason, it would be this: prayers help us grow closer to God. When we pray, we are welcoming God to be in every part of our lives. The more you spend time talking and listening to God through prayer, the more you draw closer to Him and know more of Him. And thus, God naturally draws close to us too.

If God is close to us, what else do we have to fear? What else do we have to achieve? Nothing! Just like Paul, we can live fearlessly and courageously because we know that our mighty God is for and with us.

2. Prayer helps us to align ourselves with God's will

                                                                                  Philippians 4:19

19. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

When we pray, we are also aligning ourselves with God’s will. We are asking Him to lead us and help us in our journey through life. Prayer is a way for us to surrender our lives to God and trust that He will lead us down the path He has planned for us. When we take the time to pray, we are opening up a dialogue with our Creator. We are able to hear from Him and understand His heart for us.

Additionally, through prayer, we are able to discern the will of God for our lives. As we spend time talking to God and listening for His guidance, He will begin to reveal His plans for our lives. And as we surrender our plans to Him, He will begin to work in ways that we never could have imagined because His plans and ways are higher than ours. That is the importance of prayer.

3. Prayer Gives Us Strength and Hope

                                                                           Psalm 73:26

26. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

some times we feel like we're alone, but God is always with us. When we pray, we are reminded that He is in control and will help us through whatever situation we are facing. Prayer for strength can help us get through anything life throws our way because God is always there for us. He will always give us the strength and hope we need to get through anything. So don’t be afraid to pray, because God is always listening and ready to help.

4.  Prayer Reduces Stress

                                                                                      John 14:27

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

In our community most of the people are refugees and immigrants, they have been through a lot of things that cause stress and loose of hope, but when we pray and fast it reduces stress and gives them peace of life. If you find yourself in a situation where you're experiencing frequent stress. Maybe it comes from your job. Maybe it comes from your family. Maybe you’re the caregiver of an elderly parent or a special needs child. Wherever your stress comes from, it saps your energy and leaves you in a state of persistent fatigue. Prayer gives you the opportunity for some quiet.

5. Prayer Helps us to improves our attitude

Sometimes you find yourself angry for no reason. Even if you think your life is mass, you still have many things to be thankful for each day. Praying, especially asking the Holy spirit to manage your anger, that can help to improve your attitude.

6. Prayer helps you to give and receive forgiveness

                                                                                    Ephesians 4:32

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Sometimes people hurt you, you hurt them too, it's hard to forgive and forget if the Holy Spirit is not leading you. As the Bibles say in the book of Matthew 6:14-15: For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. . Asking God through prayer to forgive you for the hurts you’ve caused and to forgive others for the hurts you’ve experienced is your first step in recovering from them. It doesn’t mean that you’ll forget what happened, but it does mean that you’ll start to forgive yourself and others for adding to the hurt in the world.
